CBSE Not Advancing Class 10 And 12 Board Exams

New Delhi, July 30: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has ruled out the advancing of Class 10 and 12 exams to mid February instead of March from 2018 as was reported earlier.

“No such proposal has been moved by the CBSE,” Minister of State for HRD Upendra Kushwaha told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.

The response of the ministry has come amid the growing concerns among the CBSE-affiliated schools over the board’s plan to advance the board examinations by over a month

It was also reported earlier that the CBSE plans to hold Class 10 and 12 exams on the same dates in two shifts – morning and afternoon, in a bid to reduce the overall duration of the exam period and thus give teachers more time to check answer sheets.
